As far as I am aware, the situation is as follows: Because Firefox is a cross-platform browser, it has been very difficult for the developers to make the browser accessible to Voice Over users because Apple employs its own accessibility frameworks for Mac OS X. Therefore, the folks at Mozilla must create by hand all the accessibility functionality that Linux and Windows users have by default. I know that the developers would welcome assistance in this, but I am not confident enough in programming yet to offer them this help. I know that there are other, better qualified people on this list who could give you a better break down of the current situation, so if my info is incorrect or in any way in accurate, please feel free to set me straight.
