Yeah I use to use one called no-ip.com

Now I just a static IP.

It depends on how often the dynamic is applied.  If they change your IP often, 
then your going to need to come up with a plan to either keep changing your IP 
in the VPN reference, or subscribe to a host service that can account for the 
constant changes.  My dynamic IP doesn't change often at all, so I just change 
the reference when needed.  Regarding the firewall, it's real easy within 
Airport Utility to add the VPN port references in the Network tab under Port 
Settings.  You may run into a barrier though if the cable modem has any 
firewall or such security on it.
