Hi,

In my opinion, Apple did not create the HomePod to compete with the Amazon and
Google speakers. They created the HomePod to offer a speaker with much better
audio than either Amazon or Google offer. This HomePod works with Apple Music
which neither the Amazon nor Google products do.

The HomePod is for someone like me who is an Apple Music subscriber who doesn’t
subscribe to either the Amazon or Google services. I don’t want either an
Amazon or Google product potentially always listening in my home. I, however,
trust Apple and I am fine with the HomePod. I can’t wait to get mine on
February 9th.
