Hi All,

Thank you for your very informative and helpful responses to my questions. I
can definitely see the advantages of buying an Air, but as has been
mentioned, Mac will discontinue this model at some point. I mostly plan on
doing e-mail, web surfing, and word processing, but might also like to do
some recording, and utilize this computer to do work from home. I also like
to chat on line with Skype and maybe other programs. For years, I've used a
Windows desktop and would like a machine that's powerful, yet portable.

Whether I get the Air or the Pro, would there be any other advantages to a
unit with a touch bar, other than easy insertion of emojis and Touch ID?
That's something I've not gotten into yet, and honestly don't think I'd be
doing it too much. A couple of friends have indicated that units with touch
bars have a better processing speed, but is that really significant or
necessary? In looking at Macs recently, I notice that ones without touch
bars have the function keys that we're used to on Windows computers, but the
other ones use the FN and other keys to simulate these functions.

Will keep looking, but meanwhile, thanks for your valuable input. Should
you have any other questions, please let me know.

Rhanda
