Hello, I am running Mac OS 10.13.4. I keep time machine backups on an encrypted USB attached disk drive. I also do a SuperDuper backup to that disk from time to time. I am trying to boot my Mac from the latest SuperDuper backup which is listed as a possible start up disk in the start up disk preferences. After starting my Mac I wait about 2 minutes and then I start VoiceOver which says ‘User Name’ but with no edit field to enter that name. I tried entering the name of the external disk, or my Mac logon name, or the name of my Mac, or the password I used to encrypt the external disk but none of these work. Have any listers successfully booted High Sierra from a SuperDuper backup on an encrypted time machine disk and if so how did you do it? Many thanks for any Tips.
