MBP mid 2012 with High Sierra. I upgraded both memory and internal
drive with Crucial components.
I don't know when the problem appeared, perhaps when I was running
Sierra. Quite often when I execute a VO command, VO speech will dwindle
almost to nothing briefly. There is no pattern to it except it happens
when I press a VO command.
I had replaced the spinning drive with an MX300 SSD. I cloned Sierra
to the spinning drive when High Sierra was released. The spinning drive
is in a USB enclosure. So I have been doing some testing using that
spinning drive keeping in mind the USB connection is slower. VO speech
never bogs down.
At the moment, I think it might be the MX300 drive but I do not know
what else it could be. Anyone using the MX300 SSD?
I ran the Crucial scan yesterday and it now shows an MX500 for an
upgrade. Before I go there I would like to get feedback on what else to
check on my system.
