Hi all,
My library, aside from using the Libby app, also uses an app called Hoopla to
let folks access movies, TV shows, music and books, both text and audio. I
don’t know how extensive the collection is compared to what is available
through Libby. I successfully signed in and even borrow a book which was
downloaded to my phone. I opened the book, had a bad moment where it look like
all that was on the screen was some kind of picture, a JPG file, but then found
button for table of contents, which read fine. I was able to open the book to
the first chapter and start reading with a two finger flip down. I read for
about five minutes or so and then stopped the reading by putting two fingers on
the screen. That’s when the trouble happened. Resuming reading did not pick up
where I had stop. It seems that three finger swiping to the left or right, why
are you getting traditional sound meaning that you’ve moved by page, does
actually not do anything. At least not for voiceover. So when you start reading
again, you’re back at the start of the chapter. Is there a way around this? Is
there anyway at all to not have to read an entire book at once through this
service?
Mary
