It seems to me that since Apple’s profits keep going up, they don’t need to do anything. Once sales start going down, they will have to do something. As long as people are willing to pay the price, why the heck should they charge Les and make Les? Were I an Apple shareholder, I wouldn’t like that very much. They are private company, and this is how capitalism works, which has its downsides of coarse. But just look at who is making the profits in the smart phone business. Apple. They’re killing everybody else in terms of profit margin. Market share? No. But so what? What matters to a company at the end of the day is the bottom line. Considering that you could have an iPhone 5s, five year old phone, and be running the latest operating system, that seems to be a pretty good track record in terms of keeping your device once you have it. Android can’t touch it.
