Why does this sound like I’ve heard it in the passed couple of weeks?

I know I’ve had this happen myself recently as well.

Funny you should ask that, I’m on Vodafone and my wife is on 2 degrees, and I
can’t remember if we had this issue when she was on Vodafone but I suspect not.
I know it is nothing to do with our devices as it was happening on our old 5s’s
and we both upgraded to 8+’s at the same time.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to hijack this message but as it was to do with text
messages and iMessages I thought I’d ask.
My wife and I both have iPhones and we have checked the settings on both
devices and they look the same. However when my wife sends me an iMessage I
receive it fine, and then a few seconds or minutes after I get the same message
again but in the text message format. It doesn’t happen the other way around,
she only receives iMessages from me. And any other friends that I have with
iPhones I only get the iMessage without it doubling up as a text as well.
Has anyone seen this before?

Mary, you’ve probably already done this, but just to be sure, go into Settings

to on, and then also a little below that there’s a section called SMS/MMS, make
sure that MMS Messaging is set to on.

Hope that other than this little frustration you and yours are having a good
vacation! :-)

We are on vacation, but I have a cell connection on my T-Mobile phone an

getting notifications that the message send failed. I don’t get it.
