If your computer has a USB port, and you happen to have an old mouse somewhere, 
plugging that mouse in and putting it out of reach so you don’t actually move 
it around might help. I’ve got a MacBook Air with a track pad, and even when I 
turn Trackpad Commander off I still have issues sometimes, and connecting the 
mouse does help. Connecting and not using a Bluetooth mouse might also do the 
trick.
