Hello Dan, In Pages, for instance, you may wish to select text between two headings. You can use the rotor to find the first heading and set a hotspot, then use the rotor again to find the heading where you wish to end the selection and set another hotspot. Go to the first hotspot and press Ctrl-Space, then go straight to the second hotspot and press Ctrl-x-x and the text in between will be selected. You can’t press VO-Return at the first hotspot, jump to the second and press VO-Return again and have the intervening text selected.
