Hi, One of the challenges I've found with DOM order is that web-site developers don't always code things in a logical order. From a development prospective, it is unnecessary for the elements to be coded in the order that a screen reader might read them due to the fact that the visual appearance is not necessarily related to the order of coded elements. To me, it is a preference. I find it often much quicker and more efficient to navigate in DOM order as I can bypass groups of web-site data quickly. DOM order is beneficial as it can often load pages quicker and is less likely to miss elements that somehow get skipped over when moving forward in Group mode. To say that it is the setting that you would usually "want" is not valid from my prospective. It is a personal preference, and neither should be a "recommendation".

I have never really tried the group mode setting since the dom setting has always worked for me. > On Nov 17, 2019, at 3:51 PM, Lorie McCloud <lorice...@gmail.com> wrote: > > can somebody tell me what dom order is and how it differes from the other > setting for navigation in vo utility?
