Hi, Ok, here’s what I found after asking the question. When making a Firmware password, you can only use standard alpha numeric. You can not use things like å.
However, it’s ok to use whatever I want in login passwords for accounts. I tested this and it appears to work accordingly. When I attempted to create a firmware password using extended ascii, I got a message that only alpha numeric can be used. Then when I changed my user login password, I was able to use anything i attempted.
