Information on AirPod firmware can be found by doing the following:
1.  Place your AirPods, AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max in your ears/or on your 
head, and make sure they are connected to your iPhone or iPad.
2.  Go to Settings > General > About.
3.  Swipe right, until you locate your AirPods/AirPods Pro/AirPods Max, and do 
a 1-finger double tap, to open up device information, including firmware 
version and more..
