Have you tried the reset procedure? It’s usually something similar to holding
down the power button for 10-15 seconds. The exact details can be found with a
Web search and may depend on the model of your phone.

Subject: i phone going totally silent after phone calls and headphones are
removed
Hi,

Today I was on hold on a phone call using my i phone 8 plus. After being on
hold for over an hour the phone suddenly went silent and I haven’t been able to
get it to make sounds or get vo to work! I was using lightning connected
headphones on the phone call so I could easily punch in numbers when necesssary.

Any fixes for this? The phone is now connect to my mac and is 54 % charged and
is charging, but still is totally silent. The phone is not muted…

Thanks,
Caitlyn
