To clarify, all of my comments refer to the Office 365 desktop version for Mac downloaded from Microsoft.

Does this make a difference in accessibi... Hello, There are at least three different versions of Word for Mac . 1. Downloaded from Microsoft directly. 2. Installed via the Apple App Store. 3. The web based Outlook. Hopefully you are not attempting to use that last one. The other two should be fairly close to each other, though the one in the App Store must go through some approvals from Apple in addition to the Microsoft internal and "insider" reviews. But I have been able to use Microsoft 365 for about three years with no hard issues like what you describe. I do have some troubles navigating tables, but since I run a Windows VM on the same machine that I use for word processing, I find it easier to use Word on that side.
