I am running Monterrey on a MacBook Pro M1 2021 and I use VoiceOver and also
have it set to speak text under the mouse pointer because I have a tiny amount
of sight left which I like to use sometimes. But I find that some of the time
especially when there are drop-down menus and I move the mouse pointer down
them at some point in the table the voice will start gabbling away and echoing
as if there is a clash between VoiceOver and speak text under the mouse. Used
to work perfectly well a while back, even I think in the early versions of
Monterey but that recently has started being very problematic. I have just
spent an hour and a half on the phone with Apple Accessibility who tried
resetting VoiceOver settings, turning hints off and reducing verbosity to LOW
but the problem persists. Has anybody else had any experience of this?
Thanks
Harry
