Yes, Tim, I did. Also, interestingly, I can add bookmarks without a problem in Google Chrome but not in Safari. For now I shall have to switch to using Chrome if I think I want to bookmark a page. It’s really very sttrange. I wonder whether I should reinstall the operating systtem. Yet, the problem persists on Monterey, Big Sur and Catalina which makes me thinkk it is SAfari that’s to blame.
