I switched from Apple Music to Primephonic, a specialist streaming service for serious music. Most streaming services assume everything is a “song”, and can’t handle multiple movement works well (e.g., operas, symphonies, sonatas, etc.). Primephonic solved that problem, while allowing you to find and compare different recordings of the same work, for instance. The Primephonic application and Web site had some accessibility issues, but the catalogue was excellent, and the application was designed for the kind of music I listen to. Then Apple purchased Primephonic, so I’m back to Apple Music again. It’s rumored that Apple may at some point release a new application based on Primephonic’s design. If they do, I hope the accessibility with VoiceOver is improved.
