Perhaps you might want to try to go to the file menu and open a second
document. Then write what you want to write in the second document window or
create that second document, but give it a different file name. Then you might
be able to alt tab between the two correction shift tab between the two. I hope
this helps?

A second possibility is to open up a text, edit document separate from your
pages document. Write what you want in the text edit document then select all
of that text and paste it into the pages document since there are two different
applications involved here. Hopefully this potential suggestion will help you
out. Back to sitting here trying to think of two sentences. Do you know why I’m
trying to do this others may or may not know writers block it’s so much fun.
