A lot of great questions. First, Mail, Use VO J to jump between the sidebar and mail account. One feature I find useful is all inboxes which you can trigger with Command 1. Like the iPhone, it merges everything into one so you dont’ have to go jumping between accounts. Next, Dropbox, I think it’s a DMG ffile, so after you download it, open the DMg, then find the app. Do a command C to Copy and then Command Shift A to bring up the Apps folder. Do a Command V to paste, then Command O to open. The desktop is a window that is always visible, you can add alias’s and other files, but the Mac desktop uses Ram, not hard. drive memory, so better to limit what you add. I would get rid of those widgets, and I think you can do this by doing a VO Shift M on the Widgets thing in the Desktop and going down to remove.
