Assuming that you're downloads folder is set to show in list view, the top row of files is row two, because row one is the column headings across the top of the scroll area. As to where your downloaded file is, that is a good question. Make sure your downloads folder is sorted by date added, and in ascending. This should show your most recently added file at the top of the list.
