Hi Courtney, I synced my macbook with my mini by using Migration Assistant found in the utilities folder. This allowed me to sync my email, address book, iTunes, files, apps, docs, etc. It was awesome! Alternatively, you could use the export mailbox function in Mail, and the export contacts in address book if that's all you're looking to sync. I hope that helps.
