Kevin, I also wanted to disable this feature and appreciate your response. I just need to confirm one thing and ask you to overlook my ignorance. Under the finder preferences I saw that hard disk is already unchecked but external disk is not. There is no I disk listed. So, is external disk the one I should uncheck?
