Hi,

After starting up using c to boot on the dvd, I manually start the install program, but there is no utility menu, there is on the first screen a utility program button, but if I press the button I either have to select a go back button or the Mac will reboot back on the hard disk again.

The thing you're overlooking is that, once the install comes up, you need to go to the utility menu and from there, select the disk utility. You should be familuar with what to do from there.

Hi,

since I have some strange problems on the web, I would like to reformat and then reinstall 10.6.4 on my Mini. I have tried to install from the 10.6 dvd, but found that settings and files placed on the Mac before was still on the hard disk. I have tried to boot from the cd, and starting the disk utility, but I am only allowed to delete unused space on my system volume. If I insert a flash drive I can see the format options that I do not have with the system volume.

Is there an option I am missing out when I perform a reinstall from the cd that will reformat before reinstall?
