Hi all,
WHen you select the restore button in itunes, your computer contacts Apple to
download the firmware you'll need. I already have an isw file, and I'd like to
restore to that one instead of the file I would be getting from Apple's server.
I did some research on how to supposedly do this on the mac, and everything I
read says that when you hold down the option key and then hit the restore
button, a dialogue should pop up asking for the location of your firmware. I
have tried holding down vo-space and releasing the option key last, routing the
VO cursor to the restore button and holding down option while clicking the
mouse on my macbook pro, and option-clicking with trackpad commander on. I have
not been able to get the location dialogue to pop up. Has anyone had success
doing this with VO?
My apologies if this topic has already been covered.
Rose
