Well, I don't believe there is a built in function for that, but I believe a one could quickly set up an automation, and then enable it as a text function to work in all standard text input fields. Would you want the standard Ddate as specified in the Internationalization, or a special format. It is quite amazing all the diffferent styles of dates that are available in the International section of system preferences.
