Hi Joanne: People seem to be having good success with a software called Vuescan, and Abbyy Fine Reader Express. If you google these, there sites should come up easily. The Vuescan is good because it works with a wider variety of scanners, and Abbyy works well in terms of clear scanning and page orientation.
