I do not get the drop box sub menu. I have only the standard finder menu. Can
it be that somehow I do not have dropbox installed properly? I don't know.

Hi Marlaina. When you're focussed on the file you want in your dropbox public
folder, you want to do VO shift M on it. This will bring up the standard
finder context menu. However there should be an additional submenu for
dropbox. From there you should find the option to get the download link for
said file. It will copy the link to your clipboard.
It is possible that the dropbox submenu might only be available once the file
has finished uploading to dropbox. I've never tried to access that submenu
until after the upload was finished.
Unfortunately the only way I've found to reliably tell if the file is finished
uploading is to keep an eye on the network traffic section of activity monitor.
Of course this only works if you're not doing much other network activity at
the time.
