I love the remote app for the iPhone. When navigating the Apple TV menus, I get the best results if I turn VO off on my phone. That makes moving around the TV screen much easier. When I'm using the app I really only turn VO on the phone on when I'm typing. I really have no use for the included remote since I have this app.
