Reaper is similar to products such as pro tools on the Mac, but it's a lot cheaper. Unfortunately, there is really no accessibility to it for the Mac yet. Items such as the track list, arm status, outputs and effects used, etc, do not read. So, there's no point in trying it on the Mac. I've tried it on that other OS, Windows, and it works great, as long as you have the reaaccess bridge.
