Hi Esther,

The cue point which is located next to the play button basically sets a point
during play from which you can go back. If you stop the turntable and leave the
cue play button pressed, it plays until you lift your finger.

I assume you have made some mental map of the interface, and after a bit of
practice, you can quickly go from button to button, slider to slider and
scratch at will, one finger or two fingers for auto cut scratching without
voice over on.

The accessibility in this app is being improved, however there is no way of
circumventing the voice over control problem whereas any button needs to be
tapped twice. Since core apple apis can't be tampered with, another solution
would be to use the touch typing method for finding buttons and using them to
release, or two thumb method, whichever has the fastest result.

In addition to all of this, i have been mapping out how a magnetically modular
slipmat that would overlay the interfaces on the ipad app would help us blind
users really enjoy the advanced mixing techniques. I have asked my 3d guy to
make an exact replica of the ipad and cookie cutout the interface, some which
are modular, and snap to each other magnetically over sliding hinges. I've also
lately thought of spring mechanics on some parts to allow full use of both eq
knobs which aren't really sliders per say, and cue point buttons which are too
close to the knobs for cutouts to be vertically long enough. I'm personally
investing in this little gizmo, and hope to have a prototype made of resin by
june.

Will keep you posted as things advance.

Cheers,

Yuma
