Nobody is forcing you to buy the camera. If you have a scanner that
works with the Mac, you can use that. I don't know what you mean when
you say that they are jerking extra money out of you.

Ashley, I'd like to see the ability to scan/store locally as well as the
cloud perhaps; however, I concur with your comments. I thought it was
possible to scan/store locally, but I guess all the OCR occurs in the cloud
and that presents some issues for me. A really neat idea though.

I gather with the camera it would be almost $500. I would like to
see a demo on the Mac actually. THis is certainly a better deal than
most other products on the market that are geared toward the blind
and visually impaired user. Now I may also be wrong, but didn't the
$299 also give you access to the web-based product and something on
