I already had 4GB, and bought 8 more.  On most computers the headphone jack is 
first, then the microphone.  But This imac has a microphone built in to it, I 
use it on face time all the time while talking to my wife.  So there are 4 
USB's, 2 thunder bolts, and a fire wire I think.  Don't quote me on this one, 
went over them once with my wife when we first got it, and don't really 
remember.  This mid 2011 imac can hold up to 16GB, but like some say oon this 
list and others, if your not gaming or running a lot of vieo and audio editing, 
then any more than 8 wouldn't be necessary.
