I did not speak about a sighted person helping me with the advanced
button it is somebody else.
In my case since I boot the mac holding c down with windows7 oem dvd in
it it boots directly into windows. Prior doing that I use bootcamp to
create the partition of course then I turn off mac. Now I power the
mac holding t down for target mode, why? Simply because I want to use
it as an external drive to format the bootcamp partition cause my oem
windows7 dvd refuses to make the formatting. I get the firewire cable
and connect to a windows machine or to a mac running windows. Once
connected and when I see the bootcamp partition from the mac I wanna
put windows7 on I format it with the other machine. Having done that I
now disconnect and power off. Now I boot directly into windows holding
c down without ever going into mac os x at all and windows will select
right partition by default since it is formatted and prepared.

volume, thus totally blowing Lion outta the water like I've been doing every
blasted time I try in the past.
I'm sorry but there is no margin here for error. I've gotta do this
correctly first go.
Also once in the list, you said the last option was the bootcamp partition.
I will only have 2 partitions once I use the assistant to create the
partition.
I'll have the main extended journaled which is my startup partition for
Lion, then I'll have the other partition which I'll make for Windows 7.
So do I need to some how tab to the list, then down arrow to get to the
bootcamp partition? See, this is where I'm really getting myself very
confused.
Do I even need to fool with the advanced button.
further, you didn't say how to next my way past the partition screen, unless
I over-looked it, which is possible.

Maybe you are mixing me with somebody else, I did it completely alone.
From an earlier experience when I had sighted people I knew that it is
impossible to format with my oem dvd that's why I used firewire to
accomplish the goal.

The firewire came into play in my case because I couldn't find a way to
format the bootcamp partition whatsoever and windows refused to install

You can install 7 no problem without a firewire port. you just open
bootcamp
assistant, split your hard drive in half, because 20gb will not be enough
for windows. When the system reboots, it will automatically boot into the
windows setup so wait until you stop hearing the drive spin and the first
screen will probably be the language chooser or the installer. In any

press enter, then alt + I. the next screen is the license agreement,
press
alt + A and then alt + N for next. this next screen will be for the

but don't hold me to that. then the format button I'm not sure of. After
that you can press alt + N to go to next and the install should continue.
This will take a while, and if you've got no vision, I'm not sure how
you'll
know you're at the setup screen, but at that point you may be able to use
narrator, but in my case I couldn't because I didn't have any sound
drivers
installed. Maybe if you left a USB headset plugged in windows would
detect
it and install the drivers and then you could use narrator that way.

Using BootCamp and without sighted help and totally alone I did it and
not using the unattended way.
I made the partition using BootCamp then using a firewire cable I
accessed the empty BootCamp partition in target mode and from a Windows
XP machine I used the quick format to format the BootCamp partition.
Finally held c down while powering the normal way and pressed enter a
couple of times and then continued my way with space then enter to
accept the license, c for custom and confirmed it with enter. The
instructions I have for installing a retail version didn't work exactly
on the oem version dvd I used since I had to repeat the installation
several times before it worked, I didn't have anybody to read me the
screens but I relied on my previos knowledge, anyhow it worked. On
second restart it is totally unattended by itself and I already had usb
headset, third restart came the speech with command-u. I used BootCamp
to download the drivers and burn them to a cd and it was a MacBook
13inch white from February 2009.
