I can only tell you what I found.
By default, flash isn't installed with Lion, so, you would need to install the latest version. Alternatively, you could try testing the HTML5 version of utube. However, not all videos are put in to HTML5 so, I opted to do both things. This way, if there is an HTML5 alternative, it would be shown to you first. If not, then, you would get the flash version.
