You could also make an alias or shortcut by using command-L when you're in your 
home folder, on your dropbox folder, as if you were going to open it. Type 
command-L, and the alias will appear in your home folder. When it does, just 
move it to wherever you want it, like your desktop. Then, whenever you want to 
go to your dropbox folder, just go to your desktop, find the dropbox alias, and 
press command-O, and the folder willll open. 

To add the dropbox folder to your dock, go to the dropbox folder in your home 
folder, an when you're on it, do command-shift-T, and the folder will then be 
on your dock.
