I've disabled sound check on my macbook, but the volume of a movie I purchased
on itunes is still very, very low.
Fortunately, it wasn't that expensive, but if I can't figure out how to get
movies or tv shows to play at the same volume as
music, I'll never buy another 1. I have my bose mediamates turned up almost all
the way, and can still barely hear the movie.
I've rented this movie on DVD in the past, and don't remember it having low
sound, so am not sure what's going on. It's just
very disappointing. Would there be a way to rip the movie to a DVD and play it
on my home theater? Maybe that would solve the
problem.
Thanks, and sorry if this changes the topic, but I was hoping that sound check
was the problem, and that doesn't seem to be
the case.

Sound check is terrible in my opinion. It does nothing but lower the volume of
all your music. If that is the purpose its
meant to serve then its doing a great job.
