Hi Nektarios, I am using midi for the instruments. My interface is an MAudio Key Studio 49 key model. It works very well, and it has buttons to change octaves of the instruments. For the voice, I'm using a Blue Yeti USB microphone which has three different patterns, stereo, mono with two spaces, and mono with one space. The best part about that mic is that there is a head phone jack on it which will let you hear not only the sound from the mic itself, but which will pass along the output of GarageBand so that you can sing or whatever without hearing a delay which is usual with a usb connection.
