Hi,

If you have Home Sharing turned on for both machines, with the same Apple ID,
you'll see the other computer in your Sources List under the Devices section.
If there is no Devices section, then your Home Sharing is either not set up
accordingly or there is a network issue. Once you have focus on the other
computer, expand it with VO-back slash, then wait a few seconds for it to
populate, and navigate down to the Music Library or Playlist you wish to grab
songs from. You can then either search with the Search field or navigate
through the Table to locate the items you wish to transfer. Once selected,
Stop Interacting with the Table and navigate right to the Copy Item button and
things will move over. They will not be placed in any specific playlist, they
will simply be copied over to your Music Library and placed in the Music
section within your Sources List. You can subsequently add them to any
playlists you wish. Now, if you had iTunes Match, it can be configured so that
whatever is put in a playlist in one computer is automatically put in the same
playlist in the second computer. It is a very cool set up, although one has to
be willing to spend the yearly subscription fee to have the iTunes Match
service.
