hello - 
 i'm not sure if they make a free version of wave pad or not. that's what i 
use. it's simple, quick, and takes me no time at all to edit my music here in 
my home studio. it makes editing fun. i think if you can't find a free version 
out there i know it would be a must have. i would fork over some money if able.
