I don't seem to get mail busy messages on my MacBook Air either. But I do on my
iMac, which has four times the RAM. Perhaps it's because my messages are saved
on the SSD with the MacBook Air, but I'll try repairing permissions and
resetting PRAM on the iMac just in case this does fix it. I have read some
persuasive tech writers who say these inexplicable cure-all powers of repairing
permissions are more mythical than empirical. So, I won't be surprised if it
doesn't do anything, but happy to put it to the test.

Thanks for everyone's input. It's great to hear most people aren't having this
issue as it gives me hope that I'll be able to solve it.

Best,
Nic
