I installed Dropbox quite some time ago so don't remember specifics. I think it started out something funky but somewhere in the initial run, you need to be able to set up your account and login stuff. Once that is done, just go into Menu Extras and VO over to the Dropbox menu and press VO-Space to open that menu up. Also, it should create a folder called Dropbox in your $HOME directory.
