There are lots of stores around most cities that will be happy to jailbreak your phone for you. It cost me between 20 and 30 bucks, and it was totally worth it because it only took them about 10 minutes and every thing went extremely smoothly. If you just google jailbreak iPhone and your ZIP Code, and number of stores should come up. Of course you're able to do it yourself, but I would rather somebody do it who has done it hundreds or thousands of times.
