I bought an iMac back in the summer a few weeks after ML came out. The iMac
had Lion, and after another week or so, I bought ML from the app store and
just ran it, effectively doing an update. It works fine and I have no
sluggishness or other problems. Of course, I only had the Lion OS for a few
weeks when I did the update, but I don't really think the update is your
problem.
Have you rebooted since installing ML? When all else fails, do a hard boot -
it can clean up alot of weirdness. Also, boot into safe mode once and then
reboot normally. Safe mode cleans up alot of potential problems as well.
In case you don't know how, power up and immediately press and hold a shift
key once you hear the boot up jingle. just let it boot, you won't have
VoiceOver or anything, but just let it boot and after a while, reboot with
the power button and boot normally.

No, that is not normal behavior at all. Did you do a clean install or just
an update? Most people who do an update have no problem, but some on this
list noticed odd behavior after updating which a clean install fixed.
Don't do the clean install until others with more experience respond to
you, but my first thought is to give it a try. If nothing else, maybe make
a bootable Mountain Lion drive and see if things work normally on there.

Hi:
I just installed ML on my Macbook Pro. Yes, I'm a bit late to the party.
LOL. I've noticed my Mac is sluggish. I also cannot open menus, or apps
from the dock by pressing vo space. I have to perform a vo shift space
command. Is this a bug?
