For free solutions, I use the radio and iTunes and piano pub for Pandora. I also think TuneIn radio has a website that works pretty good with voiceover. I really like radium though as you mentioned it is a paid app, but it works great. I really like how it is not in the command tab sequence. It just stays up in the extras menu.
