Thank you, Esther -- turns out the problem resolved itself after my Internet connection was restored. This is very odd, as these messages were days old and had already been downloaded from the server. Not a single message's text was displaying -- but when the Internet connection was restored, everything was fine. Does anyone know why this might have occurred? I have had Internet blackouts before, but my email folders were not impacted. Was it mere coincidence? (Literally right after losing the connection, I lost the ability to read my messages, and after it was restored, the text of my messages was again readable.) Christine
