Just figured I would let the list know I called Apple Accessibility,
and although they couldn't figure out why my way of spell checking
wasn't working, they did suggest the command semicolon way of spell
checking a document. Of course, the funniest part about calling the
accessibility line is the customer service reps try walking you
through things while they themselves are not using voiceover, so it
kinds of defeats the purpose, but after explaining to them how to use
voiceover, we were able to figure out how to navigate the spell
checking menus using command shift semicolon and then VO and the
arrows to navigate the menus. Hope this helps someone else if they
have the problem I ran into.
