Hi,

Actually, F1 is to dim the Display and F2 to brighten.  It is in steps, that 
is, it goes up and down gradually so you need to press the F1 key numerous 
times to bring it down to 0%.  Use F5 and F6 to dim/brighten the Back-lit 
keyboards.  In the case of the Display brightness, VO will announce what level 
it is at after pressing F1 or F2 whereas VO only says whether it's dimmer or 
brighter for the Back-lit brightness.
