Command R replied to the sender of the E-mail, with the caveat that if the sender is a list serve, your message will go to the list. If you want to reply directly to the sender of a message you get from a list serve, you can obtain the individual E-mail address of the sender by interacting with the "message header," group and highlighting and copying the E-mail address.
